As you probably have read quite a few times by now, I'm a big fan of
Cedele's breads,
scones, cakes, pastries & soups. While having tea with SS & ST at the
Wheelock branch, I couldn't resist ordering a bowl of soup and some
pancakes!
Pumpkin Soup @ S$6.00
The pumpkin soup is my favourite flavour of soup at
Cedele. It was a tasty and creamy purée of pumpkin that warmed the heart and stomach, especially on a cold day. This is one of my favourite comfort foods. :)
Wild Blueberry Pancake @ S$9.90
The pancakes here were fluffy and slightly moist with juicy orbs of fresh
blueberry. It went perfectly with unsalted butter and the chocolate ice-cream (which I had asked to be served separately). What an enjoyable way of getting my dose of antioxidants (blueberry is known as a super food for its antioxidant properties) on a lazy weekend afternoon! The pancakes are a
Must-Try!
The chocolate ice-cream was delicious as it was rich, not too sweet and tasted like home-style ice-cream. I felt that it was a good balance of chocolate, cream and sugar...then again, you do realise that I'm a
chocolatefan do you? :)This was quite alot to eat for tea, so I washed it all down with a pot of Peppermint Tea (to aid digestion) and honey.
The Cedele cafe outlets at Wheelock Place, Great World City and Raffles City (new outlet) feature an extensive menu whilst the other outlets serve the usual sandwiches, salads, soups, cakes, cookies and scones.
